Fonts are individual and separate programs that run directly in Windows and each fonts uses scarce system resources.
The Software simply asks Windows for a list of all its installed fonts and Windows provides a list of all the fonts it has installed in Control Panel > Fonts.
This is the list of fonts displayed in the Software's dropdown list of fonts.
Too Many Fonts - Restricted View
If there are too many fonts installed the Software will not display all of these in the font dropdown selector in order to prevent the Software from crashing or hanging.
As such, don't install more than 1000 fonts as this will destabilize Windows from operating correctly.
