The Software imports (loads) most popular image and vector file formats (external document files) including .ai, .eps, .jpg, .pdf, .png, .tiff along with many others. Note: The higher levels of the Software imports (loads) many more file formats.

To Import via the Menu
To import a file have a Document open click the File (menu) > Import > File then navigate where the file is saved, select it and click Import or OK.

To Import Directly
You can copy and paste or drag and drop many file formats directly into an Open Document in the Software.

Problem Files
If you cannot import a file and have followed the instructions above the file may be:

  • Corrupt (i.e. damaged in some way)
  • Degenerate (i.e. contain malformed data)
  • Contain unsupported or unknown content (i.e. may not load as expected)
  • An unsupported file format (or not be for the level of the Software you have)

If you believe the file is none of these attach it to an email and send to Problem Files and a technician will investigate it for you.

Note: File formats are continually evolving and many software vendors add undocumented elements that we cannot support because there may be no or little information. In these cases we will look at the file and see what if anything can be done with it. If the elements can be supported any changes to the Software should be included in a subsequent Software update or upgrade.
